Why counselling?
Counselling offers you the time and space to slow down and explore your thoughts and feelings in the present moment, and to identify your emotional pain and conflicts in a safe, supportive and accepting environment.
It is not easy to reach out - especially if we are unhappy, vulnerable or just in a confused state - so I am very much aware of how difficult it might be to make contact. Our first session together would be an assessment session for you to talk about your current situation, and for me to ask some questions around this, but to also understand a little bit more about yourself. This initial assessment session will allow us to determine if counselling together would be a good fit.
About Me
Since 2005, I have been deeply committed to helping individuals navigate their emotional well-being and find solace in life's challenges.
My path in this profession began as a Psychological therapist within the NHS back in 2006. Working in such a supportive environment has allowed me to gain invaluable experience and hone my skills in providing effective therapeutic support.
Beyond my professional endeavors, I'm also a passionate FA registered football coach, actively involved with a prestigious FA chartered Football club.
Sport holds a special place in my heart, and it's where my passion truly lies. As an ardent advocate of mental health in sports, I felt compelled to establish my private practice, aiming to support sports enthusiasts in achieving their highest potential.
Throughout my career within the NHS, I've had the privilege of supporting numerous athletes in addressing their mental health concerns, physical well-being, and dealing with injuries. Additionally, my extensive experience in working with young people has provided me with a deep understanding of the challenges they face during their developmental years.
I believe in the power of empathy, compassion, and effective communication to bring about positive change in people's lives. It’s my hope that working together helps you to find emotional balance and personal growth.
Thank you for joining me on this journey, and I look forward to assisting you in your pursuit of holistic well-being.
